Sustainability & Positive Impact Initiative
At Mudgee Ale Trail, we are committed to continuously improving the sustainability and positive impact of our tours while supporting local businesses and responsible tourism within the Mudgee region.
What started with our iconic vintage diesel Troopy has evolved with the addition of our newer Brew Bus, which features modern diesel technology and AdBlue systems designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions compared to older diesel vehicles.
Our sustainability initiatives include:
-
Recycling cans and bottles left in our vehicles after tours;
-
Supporting local breweries, wineries, distilleries, pubs, cafés, and small businesses;
-
Encouraging group transport to reduce the number of individual vehicles on the road;
-
Operating small-group, personalised tours to minimise environmental impact;
-
Reducing unnecessary printing through digital itineraries and online booking systems; and
-
Continuing to review opportunities to improve fuel efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable tourism practices as our business grows.
We believe great tourism experiences should not only support our guests, but also our local community and environment.
Accessibility Statement
Mudgee Ale Trail is committed to providing welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable experiences for all guests wherever reasonably practicable.
We currently operate two vehicles:
-
Our vintage Toyota Troop Carrier (“Troopy”), which requires a higher step-up entry via the rear doors; and
-
Our Brew Bus, which provides easier access through a lower side entry step and handrails designed to assist guests with limited mobility.
While our Brew Bus offers improved accessibility features, neither vehicle is currently wheelchair accessible, as they are not fitted with wheelchair lifts, ramps, or restraint systems.
Guests should also be aware that tours may involve:
-
Walking short distances between venues;
-
Uneven ground surfaces at some venues; and
-
Entering and exiting vehicles using steps.
We encourage guests with accessibility, mobility, sensory, or other support needs to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss the most suitable options available.
Further accessibility information can be found on our FAQ page.
